When I grow up?
When I was younger I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew
up. The question that plagues people for most of their lives. I had plenty of
ideas which included:
-Teacher: I enjoyed sitting at my desk in my room with my
homemade registers of classes and ticking off imaginary correct and in correct
answers in my mum’s magazines.
-Vet: My practice included and ironing board for an
operating table. Stuffed toys for patients which I would wrap up in tissue
paper (which served as homemade bandages)
-Actress – Despite being quite a shy child I enrolled in a
drama group which took place every Saturday. In which I starred in a few small
plays.
-Rock Star – Me my sister and my cousin always dreamed we
would form our own girl band in the style of the awesome fictional group Josie
and the pussycats, after watching the film a million times.
But as it turns out I never ended up following these career
paths. One thing that has stayed
constant in my life is my love of reading. This has grew and grew over the
years and through discovering book tube and book blogging for both authors and
readers I have become inspired to tell my own stories.
I love getting lost in a book, immersing myself in imaginary worlds from Harry Potter to Alice in Wonderland. I have a list of all the fictional places I would love to visit which are:
-Hogwarts (I mean who doesn’t want to learn to play Quidditch
and take a potions class with Professor Snape)
-Wonderland (To meet the Cheshire cat and go to the mad hatter’s
tea party)
-Abarat (Where each island is a different time of the day.
Amazing)
-Westeros (Though I better watch my back)
-The Divergent World (Meet Four and train to become
dauntless)
-Middle Earth (To meet Frodo and the gang)
I think I have always known I wanted to be a writer, since I
was younger I loved to imagine adventures that I could go on and would write
them all down to visit whenever I wanted. It just seems like the perfect path
for me.
I have read all the horror stories on how hard it is to get
your book to readers through agents and publishers. I therefore am excited to
publish my own stories through independent publishing. This is both an exciting
and terrifying journey which requires me to become a writer and an editor.
But this is the path I want to take and I can’t wait to
start my journey.

Writing Inspiration
I love listening to music when I'm writing and today both the video and the lyrics of this song are inspiring scenes in my post apocalyptic world.
New blog and new books
Hello blogging world,
I have set up this blog to share my passion for both reading books and beginning my own writing journey.
I have many stories swimming around in my head and therefore have to have a notepad and pen close to hand, where most people keep a smartphone. I am hoping to reach many readers who care to listen to my stories of adventure, magic and mystery.
I am currently editing my spooky childrens book which includes halloween and misfit ghosts. The cover is currently being designed and I am very excited to share it with readers. In the next few months I will be adding links to the finished book and I hope people of all ages will enjoy it.
At present I am writing my second book entitled "The Replacements" the first book in my post apocalyptic du ology or maybe a trilogy depending on where the story takes me.
I shall now end my post here, short and sweet as they say.
Happy reading.
